Nick and I got married just 4 months after we met. My parents did not approve, but they gave their consent.

After we were married, Nick and I traveled to Ontario. During our stay in an Ontario town, Nick first became suicidal, and then threatened me. Despite this, I stayed with him for several months but eventually we separated and he returned to the States.

While we were together, we sometimes read over his favorite poem of mine, and he insisted that the poem was a kind of magic, that had brought us together.
