1/2 cup softened butter or margerine
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 cups flour
Cream butter with the sugar and the peanut butter.
Add the vanilla and the egg. Beat until fluffy.
Stir in the baking soda and the salt.
Blend in the flour. Mix until a stiff dough forms.
Shape into walnut sized balls and place them on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Press with a fork, crisscross, to flatten.
Bake at 375 degrees F. for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
