Thoughts

1. Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) and PLMD are considered to be related sleep disorders. RLS is frequently treated with the same medications (Pergolide, Permax) as PLMD.

2. Many sources state that PLMD is more common in people 65 and older and seldom ever occurs in those under the age of 30. My husband began to develop PLMD symptoms when he was 28 years old, although it worsened over many years before it was finally diagnosed.

3. A lack of sleep or interrupted sleep can affect both physical and mental health. If you have problems with sleeping well, please consult with your doctor.

4. Some people who are hypothyroid apparently may also have sleep apnea. If you are hypothyroid, and suffer from tiredness and lack of energy, you may wish to talk about this with your doctor. 6. Special thanks to Chris for reviewing and offering advice on some of the info in the FAQ section. Visit the Neuronic website at http://www.neuronic.com/.

7. Q. Are you going to make a website for every medical ailment you or somebody in your family suffers from? A. Probably:)

8. Q. What about alternative remedies for sleep problems?
A. I admit that I have used one natural sleep aid - milk - before bed - and it does help me get to sleep. I don't like to link to, or recommend, alt med websites. Visit Rosemary's site at http://rosemaryjacobs.com/ to find out what happened to her, when she was given Colloidal silver (CSP) as a child - a good example of the reasons that I don't approve of alternative medicine.
